TCD students and McCann Fitzgerald raise €4,500 for Tallaght refuge
A Winter formal organised by Trinity College Law Society and sponsored by McCann Fitzgerald has raised €4,500 for charity.
The “jingle law the way” formal took place last Tuesday in the Church Bar & Restaurant and the proceeds are now being donated to Saoirse Womens Refuge based in Tallaght.
The refuge for women and children escaping violence at home opened in 2006 and now provides short-term crisis accommodation and 24 hour support for up to six families, as well as a 24 hour helpline service.
A spokesperson for McCann FitzGerald told Irish Legal News they were delighted to welcome Allison Graham, manager at Saoirse and representatives from Trinity Law Society to their offices last Friday morning for an official cheque presentation.
