Tony Hanahoe
Well-known Naas solicitor Tony Hanahoe, who retired from practice last year, has passed away.
Mr Hanahoe co-founded Hanahoe & Hanahoe Solicitors with his wife Berna in 1979 and served as its managing partner until 2017, handing the reins to his son Luke.
He remained a partner in the firm specialising in the areas of commercial litigation and commercial conveyancing until his retirement after 44 years of practice in September 2022.
The firm’s offices are closed today — the date of Mr Hanahoe’s funeral — as a mark of respect.
Writing on LinkedIn, Luke Hanahoe wrote: “Tony set up Hanahoe and Hanahoe with his beloved wife Berna, 43 years ago.
“A man of the upmost integrity, who took his responsibilities to clients, colleagues, the profession and the court incredibly seriously. He is deeply missed by his family, friends and colleagues.”
