Two Irish EU judges reappointed
Judge Suzanne Kingston and Judge Colm Mac Eochaidh have been formally reappointed to the General Court of the European Union for a further six-year term.
The two Irish judges will serve an additional term from 1 September 2025 until 31 August 2031.
The decision was made by representatives of EU member states’ governments last week.
Judge Kingston, who is also a professor at UCD Sutherland School of Law, was first appointed to the court in 2021. She previously practised as a barrister.
Judge Mac Eochaidh has served on the court since 2017, having previously been a High Court judge since 2012. He was also previously a practising barrister.
