Two senior appointments at McInnes Dunnes Murphy
Specialist boutique employment law firm McInnes Dunne Murphy LLP has appointed Jane Babb as a consultant and Fiona Sharkey as a senior associate.
Ms Sharkey joins from one of the biggest Irish law firms, where she trained and practised as an employment solicitor for eight years. She advises on the full suite of employment law issues that arise from the commencement of the employment relationship to its termination.
She has significant experience advising both employers and employees on policy formation/implementation, industrial relations, dismissals and redundancies, employment equality and equal status cases, and on claims before the various employment fora and civil courts.
She is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and LSE, as well as holding an advanced diploma in applied employment law from the King’s Inns. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association (UK) and the European Employment Lawyers Association.
Ms Babb also trained and practised with a major Irish law firm where she provided employment law advice to senior employees and to the HR and senior leadership teams of domestic and multinational clients across all industries.
Her experience includes advising on the employment aspects of transactions and on all aspects of the employer-employee relationship from selection to termination. She also led graduate recruitment and trainee professional development and business development strategy, marketing and client relationships at firms in Ireland and abroad.
She has an LLB from Trinity College Dublin and an LLM from the College of Europe, Bruges, as well as a diploma in executive and business coaching from University College Dublin.
