Virtual exchange between UK Supreme Court and High Court of Australia
Justices of the UK Supreme Court took part in a virtual exchange with the High Court of Australia this month.
The event was part of a series of virtual bilateral meetings with judges globally. Roundtable discussions were led by justices from each delegation on different topics, including the structures and procedures in each court.
President of the UK Supreme Court, Lord Reed, said of the exchange: “I am pleased that we are now able to use technology to hold discussions with one of our most important sister courts in the common law world. The presentations and discussions were interesting and valuable, and we look forward to strengthening further the relationship of our two courts”.
