Walkers hires aviation finance specialist Elliot Milton
International law firm Walkers has appointed Elliot Milton as of counsel in its asset finance team in Dublin.
Mr Milton is a former senior vice president at SMBC Aviation Capital. He previously worked in private practice in Dublin, London and Brussels for several years before working as a diplomat in the Irish foreign service, including at its Embassy in Tokyo.
His appointment by Walkers follows the recent arrivals of associates Róisín O’Connor and Diana Pacheco.
Matt Hedigan, asset finance partner at Walkers, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Elliot to the team – his many years of experience working at a very senior level and managing a portfolio of aircraft for SMBC adds to our team’s in-house experience and expertise in asset finance matters.
“His insight into the Asian markets and fluency in Japanese is also very relevant to our practice, given the close collaboration with our asset finance teams in Hong Kong and Singapore and strong Asian client base.”
Jonathan Sheehan, managing partner of Walkers in Ireland, added: “Elliot’s experience and insights into the markets in which we operate make him an excellent addition to our team, and we are very pleased to welcome him aboard.”
