Whitney Moore’s Emma Richmond appointed to Meritas board
Whitney Moore joint managing partner Emma Richmond has been appointed to the board of directors of Meritas, an international network of independent law firms.
Ms Richmond was chosen from over 8,400 attorneys in the Meritas member network and will serve a three-year term alongside six distinguished lawyers from around the world.
She said: “I am deeply honoured to join the Meritas board of directors. This position offers a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of Meritas and to ensure we continue providing outstanding legal services to clients globally.”
Sona Pancholy, president of Meritas, added: “As a member of the Meritas board of directors, Emma will champion the continued growth and innovation of our network — in talent, technology, and numerous global initiatives.”
Ms Richmond has been actively involved with Meritas for several years, during which time she has served as a member of the European leadership group and more recently stepped onto the board to fill a vacancy mid-term.
She is an active participant in the Meritas labour and employment group and sports law group. As a board member, she will participate in strategic planning, member recruitment and development, and upholding Meritas’ rigorous quality standards, which distinguish the network from other legal organisations.
In her legal practice, Ms Richmond specialises in Employment law, advising clients on workplace compliance, employee relations, and dispute resolution. She qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin. She trained with Whitney Moore and became a partner in 2017.
