Widespread court closures as Storm Éowyn batters island
Courthouses north and south of the border have closed for the day as Storm Éowyn brings extremely high winds across the island.
The Courts Service of Ireland has published a lengthy list of court closures on courts.ie, which it has said may be updated throughout the day.
All matters listed for the High Court will be adjourned, but a duty judge will be available to hear emergency applications — certified by the High Court duty registrar — once the red weather warning for Dublin has been lifted.
The Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service (NICTS) has said all court buildings in Northern Ireland are closed today.
Court business in Northern Ireland “will be dealt with remotely, administratively, or adjourned”, NICTS said.
