William Fry appoints three new partners

William Fry has appointed David O’Shea, Colm Booth and Cian O’Sullivan as partners.
Mr O’Shea, based in the firm’s Cork office, has been promoted to partner in the firm’s banking and finance department.
He advises corporate borrowers, sponsors, financial institutions and alternative lenders on a wide range of international and domestic finance transactions.
He has particular expertise in fund finance, acquisition finance, corporate finance and real estate finance (investment and development).
He also advises on sustainable finance and is a key member of the firm’s energy, renewables and utilities sectoral group.
Mr Booth has been promoted to partner in the firm’s projects and construction department, reflecting his significant contributions to its energy, renewables and utilities sectoral group.
He advises the full spectrum of entities in the Irish energy market, including conventional and renewable generators, electricity suppliers, project developers, funders and end users.
He has extensive experience negotiating complex commercial contracts for key clients of the practice such as EirGrid, Ireland’s transmission system operator and Aughinish Alumina, Ireland’s largest industrial gas user.
Mr O’Sullivan, a chartered tax advisor and chartered accountant, joins the firm as a tax partner.
He brings over 15 years’ experience providing strategic tax planning and compliance services to a diverse range of clients, including multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals.
