William Fry becomes latest major Irish firm to expand into Cork
William Fry has become the latest major Irish firm to open an office in Cork, bringing the firm’s total number of offices around the world to six.
Real estate partner Brian O’Callaghan and banking & finance senior associate Laura Houlihan have been appointed to lead the office.
The move comes just months after Matheson, another major Irish firm, announced the opening of its first regional office in Cork.
Mr O’Callaghan specialises in property finance and property-based lending, retail and office leasing for landlords and tenants and investment acquisitions and disposals.
Ms Houlihan advises on a broad range of banking and finance transactions including acquisition finance, property finance, construction finance and restructures and regularly acts as lead counsel in multi-jurisdictional transactions. She also has particular experience in lending into QIAIF/ICAV structures.
William Fry already works with clients in Munster across various sectors, is an active member of the Cork Chamber of Commerce, and is involved with UCC School of Law, sponsoring the UCC Law Conference for the past 11 years.
Managing partner Bryan Bourke said: “William Fry has been working with clients in Munster for many years and I am delighted to announce the opening of our new office in Cork which will help us further service clients in this area.
“Our continued investment in our people and the expansion of our business underlines our commitment to the delivery of consistently excellent results for our clients.”
