NI: Wilson Nesbitt to donate nearly £1,500 to road safety charity Brake
Belfast firm Wilson Nesbitt is donating nearly £1,500 to road safety charity Brake following fundraising efforts around the Belfast Marathon.
Three Wilson Nesbitt relay teams took part in the marathon, raising £730 on their JustGiving page.
The firm’s partners then matched the donation, bringing the fundraising total for Brake to £1,460.
Partner Gary Adair said: “Over the years we have gained a deeper understanding of the far reaching consequences of road traffic accidents on the injured victims that we work for. We’re greatly appreciative of the fantastic efforts of Brake to tackle the dangers on our roads and to promote road safety.
“It seemed appropriate to use a day when the roads were closed in Belfast and participants could run safely along the route to remember all those who have suffered as a result of accidents on our roads and we’re so proud of the staff who took part.
“We were delighted to match the amount raised by the team and know that Brake will use the £1,400 raised to great effect.”
