Dublin-based Dillon Solicitors has announced the appointment of Conor White as a solicitor. Mr White graduated from NUI Galway with a Bachelor of Corporate Law (International) and Scotland's Edinburgh University with an LLM in Innovation Technology and the Law.
Retired judge Mr Justice Garrett Sheehan has been nominated for appointment as chair of the Standards In Public Office Commission (SIPO). Mr Justice Sheehan was appointed to the High Court in 2007 and elevated to the new Court of Appeal in 2014, before retiring in 2017.
Dublin solicitor Barry Magee has been appointed as a legal costs adjudicator. Mr Magee will join chief legal costs adjudicator Paul Behan and legal costs adjudicator Niall Hanlon, who were appointed to the newly-established office last October.
