This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Dublin office in a role specialising in regulatory claims, advisory and inquest work, and to join a renowned global healthcare defence firm.

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our growing healthcare department in Dublin. The successful candidate will be passionate about this area of healthcare law and have excellent communication skills.

The work will predominantly require managing an investigatory caseload, as well as inquest work and advisory work. You will be involved primarily in responding to Medical Council complaints, preparing matters for hearings before the Medical Council and representing clinicians and healthcare providers at inquest.

This is a varied and challenging role that will be immensely rewarding.


The healthcare team at Kennedys are healthcare law specialists with a depth of experience in defence of medical negligence litigation, product liability, healthcare regulatory and advisory work.

Kennedys’ healthcare team are invloved in advising clinicians, hospitals, allied healthcare professionals and their insurers on both contentious and non-contentious healthcare legal issues, including, but not limited to medical malpractice litigation, regulatory matters, inquests and involvement in healthcare law adv isory work .

Kennedys’ life sciences’ team advise pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers and their insurers on high profile, multi-jurisdiction litigation.

Required experience

  • 5+ years’ healthcare regulatory experience*
  • Inquest experience welcome but not essential
  • Claims experience desirable but not essential
  • Experience of managing own caseload
  • The ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A practical and commercial understanding of healthcare clients’ needs
  • A dynamic disposition and a strong work ethic.
