The FSPO is seeking to recruit suitable candidates to be placed on a panel for the role of Higher Executive Officer, Legal Services.

About the Higher Executive Officer, Legal Services Role

The Higher Executive Officer, Legal Services is a key member of staff in the FSPO, supporting the team structure, cascading organisational strategy and culture to their team and feeding back to management on the day to day running of the team. Successful candidates will work closely with and report to the Head of Legal Services to ensure the Legal Services Team delivers consistent quality and output across the Legal Services Team functions, as follows:

• Carrying out jurisdictional assessments on complaint files.
• Developing, maintaining and updating the FSPO’s knowledge resources in financial services, pensions and related areas.
• Conducting in-depth research on legal and regulatory issues relevant to the discharge of the FSPO’s functions.
• Delivering training on the FSPO’s statutory powers and procedures and areas of financial service provision and pension provision, including domestic and EU legislation and consumer protection codes which are relevant to the work of the FSPO.
• Managing and updating the FSPO’s Registrar of Providers database.
